The Iraqi government asked the United States to help transfer the yellowcake

WASHINGTON, July 7, 2008 - Defense personnel have completed the transfer of
550 metric tons of Iraqi uranium ore to Canada, Defense officials said here
today.
Yellowcake is
a uranium ore that can be processed to become nuclear fuel. State and Energy
Department personnel also participated in the transfer.
Officials
transferred the uranium by convoy from Tuwaitha nuclear research facility to a
secure location in Baghdad's International Zone, Whitman said. The ore was in
110 shipping containers. The shipping containers were placed aboard Air Force
C-17 Globemaster III airlifters and taken to an intermediate location. It took
37 sorties to transfer the yellowcake.
At the intermediate location --
which Whitman could not name -- the ore was loaded aboard the SS Gopher State, a
Military Sealift Command ship, which took it to Montreal.
"This was
material that was discovered when we initially went in to Tuwaitha," Whitman
said. "It was under the control of the United Nations International Atomic
Energy Agency since that time."
Whitman stressed that yellowcake is not
of direct use in a nuclear weapon. "It is a commodity that is traded routinely
in the global nuclear energy sector," he said. "It can be used as a feed
material for nuclear weapons if a country has access to the necessary fuel
technology."
The cost of the transfer was $70 million, and the
government of Iraq will reimburse the United States for a portion of the cost,
Whitman said.

Islam Reps Enlists U.N. to Prevent Anti-Islamic Speech
While the Religion of Peace Tortures and Murders Christians Globally
It is not Politically Correct to point this out these days: Islamic nations and nations with a significant Islamic population persecute, torture, rape and murder Christians to an intolerable degree compared to a few enlightened writers vilifying Islam with words in nations which the population of Muslims are the minority to nearly nonexistent.
And yet an international Mohammedan organization known as the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) has proposed a Resolution to the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) which was duly passed in 2005 known as “Combating Defamation of Religions” (Mar. 20, 2008 Official OHCHR document).
Here is a summary of the initial promulgation of Combating Defamation of Religions from 2005:
In a resolution (A/HRC/4/L.12) on Combating defamation of religions, adopted by a vote of 24 in favour, 14 against, and nine abstentions, as orally amended, the Council expresses deep concern at attempts to identify Islam with terrorism, violence and human rights violations; notes with deep concern the intensification of the campaign of defamation of religions, and the ethnic and religious profiling of Muslim minorities, in the aftermath of the tragic events of 11 September 2001; urges States to take resolute action to prohibit the dissemination including through political institutions and organizations of racist and xenophobic ideas and material aimed at any religion or its followers that constitute incitement to racial and religious hatred, hostility or violence; also urges States to provide adequate protection against acts of hatred, discrimination, intimidation and coercion resulting from defamation of religions, to take all possible measures to promote tolerance and respect for all religions and their value systems and to complement legal systems with intellectual and moral strategies to combat religious hatred and intolerance; further urges all States to ensure that all public officials, including members of law enforcement bodies, the military, civil servants and educators, in the course of their official duties, respect different religions and beliefs and do not discriminate against persons on the grounds of their religion or belief, and that any necessary and appropriate education or training is provided; invites the Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance to regularly report on all manifestations of defamation of religions and in particular on the serious implications of Islamophobia on the enjoyment of all rights; and requests the High Commissioner for Human Rights to report to the Human Rights Council on the implementation of this resolution at its sixth session.
The result of the vote was as follows:
In favour (24): Algeria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Cameroon, China, Cuba, Djibouti, Gabon, Indonesia, Jordan, Malaysia, Mali, Mauritius, Mexico, Morocco, Pakistan, Philippines, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Tunisia.
Against (14): Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Guatemala, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, Republic of Korea, Romania, Switzerland, Ukraine and United Kingdom.
Abstentions (9): Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Ghana, India, Nigeria, Peru, Uruguay and Zambia. (ANS News Article 4/12/07)
Note this resolution camouflaged to embrace all religions really is to protect Islam from International criticism. Also note that the members of the OHCHR are all Mohammedan nations in which other religions are not tolerated; indeed Christians that live in these ratifying nations are often the recipients of violence and any Mohammedan that converts to Christianity is subject to the death penalty.
It is now 2008 and the UN is attempting to make this a binding International Law which would in effect stifle free speech that exposes Islam as a religion of violence rather than peace.
Jay Seculow of the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) is stepping up to the plate (along with its European version) to battle the UN on this issue of hypocrisy perpetrated by Mohammedans on the non-Mohammedan world.

New information reveals that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was indirectly sending messages to the FARC. The Marxist Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) is designated as a terrorist group by the US government. Speaker Pelosi was doing this while at the same time she refused to bring a free trade agreement with Colombia up for a vote in the US House. In fact, Pelosi took extraordinary steps to block this trade agreement with America's closest ally in South America.

Colombian Sen. Piedad Cordoba (left) is currently under investigation by the Colombian attorney general for ties to the FARC. Cordoba claims that Speaker Nancy Pelosi was sending messages to the FARC terrorists. Cordoba also claimed during FARC negotiations that Pelosi had assigned Rep. Jim McGovern, as the point man. Captured FARC documents confirmed in March that Mr. McGovern had been working with an American go-between, who had been offering the rebels help in undermining Colombia's elected and popular government.
The Wall Street Journal reported on the confiscated FARC documents that implicated Rep. McGovern back in March:
Now, today we find out who was directing Rep. McGovern--The Reyes hard drive reveals an ardent effort to do business directly with the FARC by Congressman James McGovern (D., Mass.), a leading opponent of the free-trade deal. Mr. McGovern has been working with an American go-between, who has been offering the rebels help in undermining Colombia's elected and popular government.
Mr. McGovern's press office says the Congressman is merely working at the behest of families whose relatives are held as FARC kidnap hostages. However, his go-between's letters reveal more than routine intervention.

Last fall, Mr. Chávez and the FARC hatched an audacious plan whereby the Venezuelan would take "proof of life" of Ms. Betancourt to French President Nicolas Sarkozy in Paris, where the plight of Ms. Betancourt was a cause célèbre. The rebels wrote that Mr. Chávez was sure French pressure for negotiations would cause President Bush to "order Uribe to allow the meeting" between Mr. Chávez and the rebels on Colombian soil, something Mr. Uribe had refused to do. The rebels reported that Mr. Chávez was "super-motivated," because he viewed the rendezvous as a public-relations coup that would give him and the FARC "continental and world renown."
That plan flopped, but Mr. Chavez had other cards up his sleeve. One involved Colombian Sen. Piedad Cordoba, who is currently under investigation by the Colombian attorney general for ties to the FARC. She figures prominently in the captured rebel documents, and is notoriously close to Mr. Chávez.
She met at the Venezuelan presidential palace with FARC leaders last fall. From that meeting the rebels reported that "Piedad says that Chávez has Uribe going crazy. He doesn't know what to do. That Nancy Pelosi helps and is ready to help in the swap [hostages in exchange for captured guerrillas]. That she has designated [U.S. Congressman Jim] McGovern for this."
If the speaker of the House was working with Ms. Cordoba in this scheme, her judgment was more than a little misguided. The rebels write that on a trip to Argentina Ms. Cordoba told them, "It doesn't matter to me the proposal that Sarkozy has made to free Ingrid. Above all, do not liberate Ingrid." In short, why give up such a useful pawn?

The end-game of that continuous war is the total annihilation of Judaism (religious and/or ethnic depending on who is arguing).

Two parts to my celebration of the fourth of July.
At the river park in Idaho Falls people in masses were getting ready to watch the fireworks. Someone told me it was the biggest fireworks display west of the Mississippi. Certainly that is a factual and verifiable statement, and not just a tossoff of civic pride. After all, he said they spent a million, no two million dollars on it. In the parkway along the falls there were a few booths and trailers vending various goods. There were corn dogs, sno-kones, information about charities, a couple of state police cruisers, and hot food from many nations none of which was very American. I got a toffee ice cream bar from the Schwan's truck to munch on while I walked around gawking.
There were two stages (one pop and one country) at opposite ends. At both the deaf sound guys had the bass turned up all the way, cuz that's cool. Not musical at all, but it is more about slapping each other in the head than it is about music. At the pop stage two teens with guitars played with their programmed keyboard. At the country stage, they didn't even have musicians, but just piped the local radio station's fare through their PA.
The people with kids seemed to take the two extremes - some letting the kids run and some trying to keep the kids close by screaming at them when the kids got either curious or active. I was surprised to see how many men wore shirts without buttoning them up, allowing all of us to see their white and not well-toned bellies. If you got it flaunt it. Nearly half the people walking down and up the promenade had dogs, leashed thank goodness, almost all of which were getting wrapped around owners' legs as the dogs sniffed at each other and the kids that were getting yelled at for paying attention to the many dogs.
The Vino Rosso was closed, darn.
The other half of my Fourth was driving through fifty miles of dirt road between the opal-mining town of Spencer and Highway 20 just below West Yellowstone. It was stunningly beautiful in spite of the haze blowing in from the fires in California. This country is far away from most places.
A quartet of international crooks -- Peterson, O'Hara, Ross and Ravello
-- is stranded in Italy while their steamer is being repaired. With
them are the Dannreuthers. The six are headed for Africa, presumably to
sell vacuum cleaners but actually to buy land supposedly loaded with
uranium. They are joined by others who apparently have similar designs.
